PUBLIC MEETINGS IN GALLUP TO FOCUS ON BEARS, COUGARS AND ANTELOPE

GALLUP -- The Department of Game and Fish will conduct public meetings to gather input on bear and cougar management, and the Antelope Private Land Use System (A-PLUS).

Meetings will be at 6:30 p.m. March 17 at the Gallup Chamber of Commerce. The meetings will begin with discussions about bears and cougars, followed by A-PLUS.

Both meetings will focus on gathering public input, not only bears and cougars, but also on antelope and A-PLUS.  A-PLUS is used to determine the number of antelope hunting opportunities available on public and private lands. Sportsmen’s groups, landowners and interested general public are encouraged to attend.
