Notice for elk-antelope applicants - Send elk and antelope applications To the Game and Fish Post Office box

PHOENIX — Hunters are being reminded to send their hunt-permit applications for elk or antelope to the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s Post Office box , not its new physical address on Carefree Highway.

The correct Post Office box, 52002, Phoenix, AZ 85072-2002 is correctly printed on the application envelope. The Post Office box has not changed from previous years even though the department headquarters has moved.

For those who download a copy of the application, be sure to use the Post Office box mailing address when addressing an envelope. The Post Office box information is provided on page 2 of the downloadable application.

Also remember that the deadline is 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12. Applications must be received by mail or be hand-delivered. Postmarks don’t count.

The online application process is not available.

Applications and the 2008 Arizona Pronghorn Antelope and Elk Hunt Draw Information booklet should be available at all license dealers, including all seven Game and Fish Department offices in the state. You can also download a copy of the application and/or the booklet from the department’s Web site at www.azgfd.gov.
