KEARNEY, Neb. -- Its not too early to start thinking about attending Nebraska Outdoors Expo 2008, April 17-19 at the Firstier Event Center in Kearney.

The first two days – Thursday and Friday – will be open only to preregistered students and on Saturday it will be open to the public and offer hands-on activities for the whole family.

The Expo, now in its second year, will be a celebration of Nebraska’s rich outdoor heritage sponsored by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Cabelas.

The event will allow participants to shoot shotguns at clay targets, fling arrows at 3-D archery targets, shoot air rifles, see hunting dogs in action, fish and learn fishing secrets from experts, participate in various fish and wildlife studies, have close encounters with Nebraska wildlife, and participate in seminars with world renowned predator caller Randy Anderson and local outdoor expert Rick Windham.
