Winter fun contests start at state parks and reservoirs

            Indiana State Parks and Reservoirs is sponsoring two new Winter Fun contests, one for adults and one for kids.

The top two entries in each contest will each receive an annual entrance pass, good for free gate entrance to state parks and reservoirs throughout the year.

Kids under the age of 18 are asked to submit a photo of themselves doing their favorite winter activity at one of the state parks or reservoirs, plus a few sentences about that favorite pursuit.  Adults are asked to submit, in 250 words or fewer, a description of a winter tradition that their family enjoys at a state park or reservoir.

Both contests run until March 1, the date by which all entries must be postmarked. As entries come in, they may be featured on the DNR Web site, but that does not mean they have been declared winners.
