ASK THE GAME & FISH Q. Where can I go ice fishing? A. Any waters that have an open season are also open to ice fishing. Wyoming only has a few waters that have seasonal closures, and those places are listed as closed in the regulations. The recent cold snap has created good ice conditions on a number of waters, but it is always wise to use caution. Keep in mind that ice thickness can vary greatly throughout a given body of water. One portion of a lake may have ample ice, but on another portion of the same lake, the ice might be quite thin. Local sporting good stores often have ice fishing reports and information on ice conditions. -WGFD-
