Q. Where can I go ice fishing?

A. Any waters that have an open season are also open to ice fishing. Wyoming only has a few waters that have seasonal closures and those places are listed as closed in the regulations. Beginning in 2008, the WGFD has added 10 new waters that have liberalized regulations when fishing through the ice. On these waters up to six lines may be used. On all other waters, ice fishers can use no more than two lines. Waters included in the Special Winter Ice Fishing Provision are listed on page 8 of the 2008-2009 fishing regulations.
