Antlerless Deer Permit
Restrictions in Effect starting November 26
COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Department of Natural
Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife reminds hunters
that the
antlerless deer permit, new for the 2007-08 hunting
season, is valid only in urban hunting units or Division
of Wildlife controlled hunts after November 25.
The antlerless deer permit was valid in all 88
counties during the statewide archery season from
September 29 through November 25. The permit may
continue to be used in urban units and Division of
Wildlife controlled hunts as they occur through February
3, 2008. Antlerless permits may not be used by gun
hunters participating in the statewide deer-gun season,
November 26-December 2 and December 15-16, or the
statewide muzzleloader season December 27-30.
Hunters with questions about the new permitting
system are encouraged to consult the
2007-2008 Ohio Hunting Regulations, or contact their
local Division of Wildlife district office.
Hunters are reminded that only one antlered deer may
be harvested in Ohio, regardless of season, method or
zone.
For comprehensive listing of deer zones as well as
hunting regulations, refer to the 2007-08 Ohio Hunting
Regulations available online at wildohio.com or by
