ASK THE GAME & FISH Q. "I moved to Wyoming about a year ago and for hunting license purposes will become a resident in a few weeks. Are there any seasons still open for elk and deer hunting where I can get a license?" A. Wyoming has numerous elk and deer seasons opening for general license on Oct. 15. In addition, there are some limited quota antlerless elk licenses, which have seasons running through November. Also, there is general license deer hunting in the Black Hills during November. Once you become a resident, you can purchase limited quota licenses from the Game and Fish Cheyenne office depending on availability. General resident elk and deer licenses can be purchased over the counter from license agents across the state. -WGFD-
