Outdoors Woman Deer Clinic Offered In November
ANNAPOLIS, MD — Register now for the Maryland Department of
Natural Resources (DNR) “Becoming
an Outdoors-Woman” (BOW) Deer Clinic. The event will be held in
Charles County at Blossom Point on November 2-3, 2007.
The BOW Deer Clinic workshop is designed for women who have either never
participated in hunting white-tailed deer or have very little
experience. The first day focuses on basic hunting techniques, deer
biology and behavior as well as an overview of deer management in
Maryland. Participants will be given hands-on instruction on tree stand
safety, field dressing and proper care game.
The fee for the course is $40, which includes registration, instruction,
lunch on Friday, breakfast, lunch and snacks on Saturday. All
participants will be required to pass a shooter qualification on Friday
and must posses a valid Maryland Hunting License.
