Department Dead Creek Wildlife Day Is Oct. 6 Waterbury, VT - Anyone who enjoys wildlife should plan on being in Addison, Vermont on October 6 for the sixth annual Dead Creek Wildlife Day. Activities at Dead Creek Wildlife Day are especially for people who enjoy hunting, fishing, bird watching, or learning about Vermont's wildlife. The location is the Agency of Natural Resources Fish & Wildlife Department Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA) on Route 17 west of Route 22A. Early risers can begin the day with bird banding demonstrations
starting at 7:00 a.m. Two large tents at the Dead Creek WMA headquarters
will open at 9:30 a.m. and feature wildlife-related exhibits and kids
craft activities, like face painting, decoy carving and building bluebird
boxes. The festival is hosted by Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department, Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation, Otter Creek Audubon Society, Addison County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, Addison County Chamber of Commerce, and Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, Inc.
