Adventures For Women

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Becoming an Outdoor Woman (BOW) program is hosting its annual fall workshop Sept. 14 -16, at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in Lanesboro.

Classes offered include canoeing/kayaking, biking, fly-fishing, mock bow hunt, archery, shooting sports, birding, and ropes course. Women register for three classes during the weekend. The workshop fee includes lodging, meals, instruction, equipment and evening entertainment.

"The fall workshop is very popular among women and provide women a unique opportunity to try out different sports in a supportive atmosphere," said Linda Bylander, BOW coordinator.

To register, call Eagle Bluff at 1-888-800-9558.

Women can access the events on the DNR Web site at www.dnr.state.mn.us. A printed copy of events is available by calling the DNR Information Center at 1-888-MINNDNR (646-6367).
