Elk Hunting Workshop Rescheduled

Novice elk hunters in the Salmon region still have a chance to learn more about elk behavior, effective hunting techniques, and proper field dressing.

The Elk Hunting Basics workshop has been rescheduled to 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 8, at the Salmon Regional Fish and Game office. This free workshop is open to youth ages 12-18 and their parents.

Presentations and hands-on activities will begin at 1 p.m. All youth participants are also encouraged to enter the elk bugling contest, which will follow the two hour workshop. Prizes will be awarded to the top three elk imitators.
