Free Freshwater Fishing Day Events Scheduled Statewide

15th Annual Fishing Rodeo – Auburn Technology Park South Lake – for youth ages 12 and younger accompanied by an adult (adult fee $5) – 8 a.m. until noon – contact Alison Hall, Auburn Parks and Recreation, 334-501-2940.

Lee King Benefit Buddy Tournament for Kids – Lakepoint State Park, Eufaula – 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. – for youth ages 15 and younger – contact Sam Williams, 334-687-6266.

The Montgomery Lagoon Park Kids Fishing Event – Lagoon Park, Montgomery – for youth ages 5-11 accompanied by an adult – two sessions – 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. & 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. – contact Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries to register at 334-358-0035.

10th Annual Take a Kid Fishing event – Memorial Park Lake, Jasper– for all youth – 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. – Alabama Crappie Association – contact Mike Tubbs, fisher848@bellsouth.net.
