MOUNTAIN LIONS AND LICENSE ISSUANCE REGULATIONS DISCUSSED AT MAY MEETINGS

CASPER - Mountain lion seasons and regulations for 2007-09 and some regulations concerning license issuance and license agents will be discussed at public meetings across Wyoming in May.

The meetings will also include discussions on some proposed clarifications to the regulation governing public access to Game and Fish documents and records.

The Game and Fish is proposing to extend application periods one day if the department Internet system is down on the deadline day and changes to a pending license draw applications would be restricted to hunt area and type only. Under proposed regulations, the period new license agents would be required to take training and pay the initial bond would be increased to 90 days.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend one of the public meetings to be held at 7 p.m. at the following locations:
May 14   Jackson        Antler Motel
May 14   Sheridan      G&F Office
May 14   Sundance     Crook County Courthouse (only mountain lion regulations being discussed)
May 15   Green River  G&F Office
May 15   Lander         G&F Office
May 16   Casper         G&F Office
May 16   Cody           Park County Courthouse
May 16   Laramie       G&F Office

If unable to attend a meeting, written comments on the proposed regulations will be accepted through 5 p.m. June 14 by mailing: WGFD, Regulations, 3030 Energy Lane, Casper, WY 82604. Copies of the proposed regulations are available by contacting the same address.

All comments received during the comment period will be presented to the Game and Fish Commission prior to their July 18-19 public hearing in Pinedale.

The Game and Fish supports the Americans with Disabilities Act. Every effort will be made for reasonable accommodations by contacting the nearest Game and Fish office.
