ASK THE GAME & FISH

Q. "Are electronic calls legal?"

A. Yes, for everything but regular season waterfowl. Although mouth calls are much more convenient for elk hunting, there’s no law or regulation against using an electronic call for big game. Federal regulations make electronic calls illegal for regular season waterfowl hunting - but also make electronic calls legal for the Light Goose Conservation Order or spring snow goose season. Electronic calls are also popular with some predator hunters.
