Lake
Monticello to close temporarily for
fertilization
MONTICELLO
- The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will close Lake Monticello on April
11 and April 25 until noon for application of fertilizer. The fertilizer
will be applied aerially. Anglers do not need to be on the water during the
time the lake is being fertilized.
If the fertilization is canceled due to bad weather, it will be
rescheduled for the earliest date possible. For questions or comments,
call the AGFC’s southeast regional office in Monticello at (877) 367-3559
or (870) 367-3553.
A recorded message with the latest information about the fertilization is
available after office hours by calling the above numbers and dialing
extension 133.
