4/9/2007 Looking for a Job? The Career Shopping Mall Can Help
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR)
Diversity and Recruitment Section has taken the lead and partnered with
Resource, Conservation and Development (RC&D) to involve the Montgomery
higher educational community, private industry, large and small
businesses, and state and local governmentsin developing a new concept
called the Career Shopping Mall.
WHAT: The first-ever Career Shopping Mall will provide a
venue where qualified university and college graduates, technical school
graduates, and community members can meet potential employers.
WHO: College students, recent graduates and community
members searching for employment.
WHEN: Thursday, April 12, 2007 – 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
WHERE: The Taylor Center at Auburn Montgomery, 7400 East
Drive, Montgomery.
Additionally, the Career Shopping Mall will help guide participating high
school students from the surrounding 10 counties in the career path of
their choice, by giving them an opportunity prior to college to talk with
admissions representatives from local colleges, universities and technical
schools, area employers, and other local and state government agencies
representatives including ADCNR.
Area employers are also invited to the Career Shopping Mall to meet
qualified applicants and college students attending the career fair from
area four-year colleges including: Alabama State University- Montgomery,
Huntington College-Montgomery, Troy University Montgomery, Auburn
Montgomery, Faulkner University-Montgomery, Auburn University, and
Tuskegee University.
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources promotes wise
stewardship, management and enjoyment of Alabama’s natural resources
through five divisions: Marine Police, Marine Resources, State Parks,
State Lands, and Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries.
