Trapper Education Course Set for Great Falls
Fish, Wildlife and Parks and the Montana Trappers Association will offer
a trapper education course Feb. 24 in Great Falls. This will be the only
trapper education course held in north central Montana this winter.
The free course will run 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. be held at the Great Falls
FWP office, 4600 Giant Springs Road. To pre-register call FWP at 454-5840.
MTA instructors will emphasize trapper ethics, trapping heritage, and trap
sets. An FWP game warden will be on hand to talk about trapping regulations.
Instructors will show actual trap sets and techniques.
People of all ages are invited to attend and bring a lunch. Students who
complete the course receive a certification card. The course is not
mandatory for trappers but it is strongly recommended.
