FLY-TYING WORKSHOP

Want to tie your own flies? The Nevada Dept. of Wildlife will be holding a free fly-tying workshop at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 21.

Participants in this hands-on, entry-level course will learn the basics of tying fishing flies and discuss equipment, materials, terminology, and techniques used in creating flies. All equipment and materials will be provided.

The class will be held at the NDOW office located at 4747 Vegas Drive (at Decatur Blvd.). For more information and registration contact Ivy Santee at 486-5127 ext. 3503 Mon – Fri.

The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) protects, restores and manages fish and wildlife, and promotes fishing, hunting, and boating safety. NDOW’s wildlife and habitat conservation efforts are primarily funded by sportsmen’s license and conservation fees and a federal surcharge on hunting and fishing gear. Support wildlife and habitat conservation in Nevada by purchasing a hunting, fishing, or combination license. For more information, visit www.ndow.org.
