Fall festivities for the entire family will
permeate Spring Mill State Park, Oct. 21-22.
The Pioneer Village will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day,
with staff making hands-on crafts, doing educational demonstrations
and playing games with the guests.
On Saturday, visitors can participate in tin punch pumpkins, face
painting, leaves of leather, make-your-own-chalk and glitter trees
throughout the day. At 7 p.m. a “Ghosts and Legends Hayride” will be
offered. At 8:30 p.m. everyone will gather at the pool parking lot
to watch the Orionid meteor shower over a cup of hot chocolate.
Sunday festivities include a sidewalk chalk art competition, a
nature presentation on empty nest syndrome and a craft workshop on
making cornhusk bracelets, along with the usual Pioneer Village
demonstrations. Some programs are limited to supplies and space

A gate fee of $5 per in-state vehicle or $7 per out-of-state
vehicle will be charged at the entrance to the park.
