Frankfort, KY – You have a bow and a desire to hunt. Where do you start?
You can begin your journey to the woods at the Kentucky Department of Fish
and Wildlife Resources’
Salato Wildlife Education Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday,
Oct. 7, for a beginning bow hunting workshop.
Join the experts for a one-day seminar covering everything from scouting and
tree stands to trailing your game. This workshop is designed for the novice
hunter to gain information and ask questions on every aspect of bow hunting.
We will begin with scouting a spot and choosing a tree stand. Plan to stay
all day for this comprehensive seminar. We will give you a break for
lunch. The cost of the workshop is $15 and space is limited to 20 adults.
Registration and prepayment are required.

Salato Center is operated by Kentucky Fish and Wildlife. It is located two
miles west of Frankfort on U.S. 60. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The Center is closed Mondays and state holidays.
