The information below pertains to 2006-07 deer check station closures and additions. For a complete list of check stations (prior to changes listed below) refer to page 54 in the 2006 Hunting Issue of the Fish and Wildlife DIGEST.

Hunters are reminded that they should bring their deer to an open check station nearest to where the deer was harvested.

UPDATES and DATE POSTED

All Seasons Sport and Taxidermy, located at 1938 Englishtown Rd. (Rt. 527) in Jamesburg, Middlesex County, will no longer be checking in deer. Until a replacement station is found, hunters may check their deer at Sayreville Sportsman located at 52 Washington Rd. in Sayreville, Middlesex County (new Bank-A-Doe station for Middlesex Co.), Bill and Ken’s Taxidermy located at 389 Rt. 79 in Morganville, Monmouth County, Short Lane Café located at 155 Church Lane in East Brunswick, Middlesex County or Hometown Butcher in Howell at 967 Rt. 524 (Adelphia-Farmingdale Rd.) in Adelphia Monmouth County. Smitty's Liquor & Deli, located on Rte. 46 in Columbia, Warren County will be open for all deer seasons. (9/11/06)

County Line Sport Shop, located at 10 Rte 46 in Hackettstown, Warren County will no longer be a deer checking station. (9/6/06)
