ASK THE GAME & FISH

Q. "I see in your hunting regulations that predacious birds are legal to hunt. Exactly what species are you referring to?"

A. Wyoming has two species of birds, the English sparrow and starling that are officially classified as predacious birds. These species are listed under "Definitions" on page 5 in the upland bird and small game regulations and can also be found in the migratory bird regulations. For those two species, no license is required and there is no closed season.
