Commission to set 2006 Waterfowl, Crow, Falconry Seasons

Lincoln, Neb. -- The Nebraska Game and Parks Commissioners will set 2006
waterfowl, crow and falconry seasons and amend fishing regulations at an 8
a.m. Aug. 30 meeting on the third floor of Commission headquarters in
Lincoln, 2200 No. 33rd Street.
The public hearing to amend fishing regulations will begin at 8:20 a.m. and
the public hearing to set Nebraskas 2006 waterfowl, crow and falconry
seasons is scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m.
Also on the agenda is:
– a recommendation to hold a public hearing at the next meeting to consider
amending wildlife regulations;
– a recommendation to hold a public hearing at the next meeting to consider
amending antelope, deer and elk regulations;
– a recommendation to hold a public hearing at the next meeting to consider
amending wildlife regulations at Sacramento Wildlife Management Area;
– a recommendation regarding the Supplemental Agreement #3 to the existing
memorandum of understanding and license between the Nebraska Game and Parks
Commission and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Nemaha County;
– a recommendation to hold a public hearing at the next meeting to consider
amending boating regulations;
– a recommendation to hold a public hearing at the next meeting to consider
amending sate park regulations pertaining to permits;
– an appearance by Rodney Verhoeff, coordinator for the Lower Platte River
Alliance;
– an appearance by Mary Klein, president of NatureServe;
-- and an appearance by Ralph and Dorthy Kohler.
