MCPHERSON VALLEY WETLANDS PUBLIC MEETING AUG. 29

Management plans, waterfowl reports to be discussed

INMAN -- The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks will hold a public informational meeting for the McPherson Valley Wetlands on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the Kansas Sampler, Inman. The agenda will include a presentation by area manager Brent Theede, providing information on upcoming development plans, refuge changes, current habitat conditions, pumping regimes, regulation changes, and a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service video highlighting estimates of waterfowl populations for the 2006 fall migration.

This meeting is free of charge and will start at 7 pm. For more information, phone the McPherson Valley Wetlands office at 620-241-7669.
