Patoka Lake to host fifth annual “Wheelin’ in the Fish” event for
special needs people, Sept. 16
|
| People with special needs and their families are
invited to fish for free at Patoka Lake’s 5th annual “Wheelin’ in
the Fish” event, Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the
Osborne boat ramp, located just off Highway 145, south of French
Lick.
The DNR, Patoka Bass Anglers, Southern Indiana Center for
Independent Living (SICIL) and Patoka Lake Village will host this
promotion of the reservoir’s accessible features. Fishing poles,
tackle, and bait will be provided for participants’ use while
supplies last. Lunch will also be provided. Participants should
bring lawn chairs, sunscreen and insect repellent, friends and
family and join in the recreational opportunities with boat rides
and more.
Certificates awarded to all participants. Drawings for prizes
will be held throughout the event.
