Frankfort, Ky. – This Saturday evening, Aug. 19, a live production of the
“Kentucky
Afield” television show will address questions on a variety of wildlife
on Kentucky Education Television.
The one-hour special will feature a panel of biologists from the Wildlife
Diversity Program of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
Expert guests will answer questions on songbirds, bats, bears, reptiles and
other non-hunted or lesser-known Kentucky creatures and their habitats.
Viewers statewide can participate by calling the show toll-free. “The only
thing more varied than the wildlife across our state is the questions we get
about them,” says “Kentucky Afield” Host Tim Farmer.
The wildlife diversity show is one of four such “Kentucky Afield” call-in
programs each year. Others annual topics are spring fishing, fall hunting
and wild turkey.
“Kentucky Afield” is a production of the Kentucky Department of Fish and
Wildlife Resources. It is the longest continuously running outdoor
television show in the nation. The “Kentucky Afield” call-in show airs
Saturday at 8 p.m. Eastern /7 p.m. Central.
