European Fishing Catches a Bluegrass Flavor This

Frankfort, Ky. – A fishing pole 40-feet long is found in two places:
Europe and this weekend on the “Kentucky
Afield” television show.
Atlanta accountant Kevin Hendrin comes home to Mercer County to give local
anglers a taste of a new found hobby – Hungarian-style fishing. Then, it’s
off to Lake Cumberland with banjo legend J.D. Crowe. Tim Farmer chats with
the Kentucky native about his upcoming Bluegrass Festival in Wilmore as they
troll for striped bass. For Crowe, it was a catch to sing about.
“Kentucky Afield” is a production of the Kentucky Department of Fish and
Wildlife Resources. It is the longest continuously running outdoor
television show in the nation. “Kentucky Afield” airs Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
Eastern /7:30 p.m. Central and is repeated on Sunday at 4 p.m. Eastern/3
p.m. Central on KET.
