Frankfort, Ky. – A fishing pole 40-feet long is found in two places: Europe and this weekend on the “Kentucky Afield” television show.

Atlanta accountant Kevin Hendrin comes home to Mercer County to give local anglers a taste of a new found hobby – Hungarian-style fishing. Then, it’s off to Lake Cumberland with banjo legend J.D. Crowe. Tim Farmer chats with the Kentucky native about his upcoming Bluegrass Festival in Wilmore as they troll for striped bass. For Crowe, it was a catch to sing about.

“Kentucky Afield” is a production of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. It is the longest continuously running outdoor television show in the nation. “Kentucky Afield” airs Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Eastern /7:30 p.m. Central and is repeated on Sunday at 4 p.m. Eastern/3 p.m. Central on KET.
