Frankfort, KY - On Saturday and Sunday, August 5 and 6, “Kentucky Afield” television program offers a behind-the-scenes look at some of natural Kentucky’s unsung heroes.Cameras follow Shelby County artist Rick Hill and a lifetime of capturing conservation on canvas. Both fish and fishermen know Benjy Kinman, now you will meet the director of Kentucky’s award-winning Division of Fisheries and what makes his efforts a keeper. Elsewhere, we nose around the Mammoth Cave region with notable researcher John MacGregor. We look at a group of native animals that help control rodent populations - snakes. Host Tim Farmer makes the inspiring introductions this weekend on KET. “Kentucky Afield” is a production of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
