Some of our hunting customers experienced problems in applying online for the fall 2006 big game hunts in the 24 hours leading up to the June 13 application deadline. Ultimately, the Department did not provide you with the level of service you deserve and are entitled to.

“Hunters affected by this situation can be assured that all issues will be addressed and that the Department will make every effort to make things right in a fair, accurate and timely manner,” says Duane Shroufe, Department Director.

The Department is reconciling the limited number of applications for which there were problems, and we are troubleshooting the system to resolve technical issues for the future. Despite these temporary difficulties, we still anticipate that draw results will be available and hunt permit tags mailed out no later than the planned date of July 28.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may have encountered. Customer service is our number one priority, and we are committed to dealing with the issues that caused these problems so that they do not happen again. We appreciate your understanding and ask for your continued support.
