Public Invited to Paddle the Monocacy River in Frederick County

The Upper Potomac and Middle Potomac Tributary Teams invite members of the public to participate in a 12-mile canoe/kayak trip on the Monocacy River in Frederick County on Saturday, June 3 at 9 a.m. The cost is $20 per person, which includes canoe and gear. There is no cost if participants bring their own canoe/kayak. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch. If the water level is low at the Monocacy River, the trip will take place on the Potomac River. For more information, or to register, please contact cdonegan@dnr.state.md.us.
