DEM OFFERING FLYFISHING PROGRAM ON SATURDAY, MAY 13
PROVIDENCE - The Department of Environmental Management's Division of
Fish and Wildlife is hosting a workshop to introduce people to
flyfishing on Saturday, May 13. Top Rhode Island flyfishing instructors
will teach casting techniques, fly tying, tackle needs, and knot tying.
Participants will also flyfish at a trout pond.
The workshop, sponsored by the Division's aquatic resource education
program, is open to everyone 10 years of age and older, and will be held
at Addieville East Game Farm in Mapleville, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch,
as well as equipment and materials will be provided. Cost of the program
is $50, and pre-registration is required.
