You’re can’t be too young to begin to appreciate
our rich natural resources so the Salamonie Reservoir will host a
special program for preschoolers to learn about nature.
The "Reservoir Fun" program will be held on Tues., May 23 and
Wed., May 31 at the Salamonie Interpretive Center. The 1.5-hour
program will focus on camping, fishing and other outdoor activities.
Teresa Rody, interpretive naturalist said, "We’ll have a lot of
fun putting up a tent and talking about all of the things that make
it fun to spend time at the reservoirs. We’ll even give caregivers
tips to make the camping experience more fun for the adults."
"Reservoir Fun" is open to children ages 2 to 5. A $2 fee per
child for the program will be charged to cover supply expenses. The
property entrance fee is waived for program attendees.
Parents are asked to pre-register for this event and stay with
their child throughout the program. Participants are encouraged to
bring their lunch to eat together after the event.
The Salamonie Interpretive Center is open Wed. through Fri. and
