Environmental Career Expo Comes to Frankfort Frankfort, KY -Salato Wildlife Education Center visitors often ask how they can get a job in conservation with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. The answer? Come to the career fair on Friday, February 24, and Saturday, February 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and talk with folks from various state and federal agencies, private businesses, and Kentucky colleges and universities about career prospects in environmental fields. Visitors will be able to browse many booths and talk to professionals, such as conservation officers, wildlife biologists, air quality inspectors, environmental educators, archeologists, and more, about education and choices you can make now to boost your future before you submit those college applications. Admission to the Salato Center and the career fair are free. For further information or to register for booth space or a group visit, call 1-800-852-0942, ext. 409. Learn more about these and upcoming events at fw.ky.gov. The Salato Wildlife Education Center is operated by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. It is located two miles west of Frankfort on U.S. 60. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
