February – March 11: Eagle watch at Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow every Saturday. View eagles along the Mountain Fork River and on Broken Bow Lake. Dress for the weather; rain will not cancel the event. Bring optical equipment. Meet at 9 a.m. at the Nature Center (state park is 7 miles north of Broken Bow on Hwy 259A. Jan. 30- Feb 5: Tulsa boat and travel show at the I.P.E. building at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds (4145 E 21st S 3 and 4: Bowhunting Council of Oklahoma’s Bowhunting Expo and Banquet at the Best Western in Stillwater. Several vendors set up; several educational seminars; kids turkey calling contest; Ken Beck from Black Widow ; C. J. Winand wildlife biologist and outdoor writer for bowhunter mag, North American Hunter, Outdoor Channel Bowhunting TV; plus other seminars seed companies; animal calling. Tickets are $35 both banquet and seminars. Banquet only $25. Seminar only $15. Must attend both days. 3-5: OKC Boat Show at the OKC Fairgrounds. Largest display of boats anywhere in OKC. The show runs Friday from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5. Children under 12 free. 4: The Oklahoma Fur Harvesters Association will host a Fur Sale Auction in Chandler The location will be at the Lincoln County Expo Center just west of Chandler on SH-66. The doors will open on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. and the auction will start at 10 a.m. There will be a ODWC employee there to tag bobcats. Furs to be sold at the auction can stretched and dried or "green". We ask the sellers be a member of our Association and memberships will be available at the door. There will be people there who can help you with the check in process and even to help you with your lot selection. 4: Toddler Time program at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History in Norman gives these little explorers an opportunity to learn about the natural world through hands-on activities with museum objects. Toddler Time is geared especially for children ages 18 months to 3 years along with their caregivers. The program is scheduled for 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the first and third Saturday of every month. The program is free with an adult museum admission. Admission for children ages 5 and under is free.
