ROSEBURG – The Rogue River Spring Chinook Conservation Plan Advisory Committee announced a Jan. 25 meeting at ODFW’s Central Point office.

The committee will meet from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. to continue its work on management strategies to address wild spring chinook. The public is invited to attend. The ODFW Central Point office is located at 1495 East Gregory Road.

The group will discuss Sport Fishing Regulations relevant to wild spring chinook salmon, and will begin the development of the “Conservation Status” element of the plan.

The advisory committee, which includes representatives from various interest groups and state and federal agencies, is helping the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife develop a plan to conserve wild Rogue River spring chinook.

Reasonable accommodations are provided as needed for individuals requesting assistive hearing devices, sign language interpreters, or large-print materials. Individuals needing these types of accommodations may call the ODFW Information and Education Division at 800-720-6339 or 503-947-6002 at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
