Q. "I notice in the big game booklet that seasons and quotas are not listed. When will this information be available?"

A. The tentative season opening dates are listed in the application booklet but not closing dates or quotas. Official season and quota information will be available around the first of May. This is following the meeting where the Game and Fish Commission sets official hunting seasons. Prior to that meeting, other public meetings are held throughout the state where hunting season proposals are presented to the general public. You can get a good idea of what the Game and Fish is proposing and why by attending one of these meetings.
