Current and approaching seasons in Arkansas:

Mourning and Eurasian collared doves: Dec. 19-Jan. 8, 2006. Daily bag limit 15, possession limit 30. There is no daily or possession limits on the Eurasian collared dove.

Snipe: Nov. 1-Feb. 15. Daily bag limit eight; possession limit 16.

Woodcock: Nov. 12-Dec. 26. Daily bag limit three; possession limit six.

Ducks, coots and mergansers: Dec. 16-Dec. 24 and Dec. 26-Jan. 29, 2006

Canvasback: Dec. 31-Jan. 29, 2006

Snow, blue and Ross' goose: Dec. 12-Feb. 5, 2006. Daily bag limit 20. No possession limit.

Conservation Order: Feb. 6-April 30, 2006. No possession limit.

White-fronted goose: Dec. 12-Feb. 5, 2006. Daily bag limit two. Possession limit four.

Deer seasons and bag limits

Archery/Crossbow

Zones 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and 10: Oct. 1, 2005-Feb. 15, 2006. Two deer, no more than one legal buck. A zone doe quota permit is not required to take a doe unless hunting when a firearms deer season is open. No dogs.

Zones 3 and 11: Oct. 1, 2005-Feb. 15, 2006. Three deer, no more than two legal bucks. A zone doe quota permit is not required to take a doe unless hunting when a firearms deer season is open. No dogs.

Zones 4, 4A, 5, 5A 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 16A and 17: Oct. 1, 2005-Feb. 15, 2006. Three deer, no more than two legal bucks. No dogs.

Muzzleloader

Zones 9, 12, 16, 16A and 17: Dec. 30, 2005-Jan. 1, 2006. Three deer, no more than two does. No dogs.

Modern Gun

Zone 16: Nov. 12-Dec. 29, 2005. Three deer, no more than two does. No dogs.

Zones 16A and 17: Nov. 12-Dec. 29, 2005. Three deer, no more than two does. Dogs allowed.

Christmas Holiday Modern Gun

Zones 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and 10: Dec. 26-28, 2005. One legal buck (does may be taken by holders of zone quota doe permits). No dogs.

Zones 3 and 11: Dec. 26-28, 2005. Three deer, no more than one doe (does may be taken by holders of zone quota doe permits). No dogs.

Zone 13: Dec. 26-28, 2005. Three deer, no more than one doe. No dogs.

Zones 4 and 5: Dec. 26-28, 2005. Three deer, no more than one doe. No dogs. Modern guns are restricted to shotguns with slugs. Muzzleloading rifles may be used.

Zones 4A, 5A, 9, 12, 14, 15, 16, 16A and 17: Dec. 26-28, 2005. Three, no more than two does. No dogs.

 

Turkey

Archery/Crossbow

All Zones: Oct. 1, 2005-Feb. 15, 2006. Limit one (1) either-sex turkey.
