I would really encourage parents and other adults to get young hunters into the field that day to enjoy a day of hunting,” said John McKay, NDOW hunter education coordinator. A youth waterfowl hunt will be held in Clark and Lincoln counties on Feb. 4-5, 2006. Youth hunters 12 through 15 are required to have Nevada hunting licenses and state duck stamps when hunting. Federal migratory bird hunting stamps are not required until age 16. Youngsters are required to be accompanied by an adult who is not allowed to hunt that day. Regulations for the hunts, including bag limits, can be obtained online at www.ndow.org. The Nevada Department of Wildlife is the state agency responsible for the restoration and management of fish and wildlife resources, and the promotion of boating safety on Nevada’s waters. Wildlife offices are located in Las Vegas, Henderson, Winnemucca, Fallon, Elko, and Reno. For more information, contact the agency web site at www.ndow.org.
