KANSAS WILDSCAPE FOUNDATION HELPS FUND CABINS
Full-service cabins at Cross Timbers can house four to six people
TORONTO -- The Kansas Wildscape Foundation has announced that two more
cabins are now available for public rental at Cross Timbers State Park on
Toronto Reservoir. The cabins, located in the Toronto Point area, will
accommodate four to six campers each. The cabins are furnished, have full
kitchens and bath facilities, and are air conditioned and heated.
The cabin building project is the result of a partnership between the
Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, the Kansas Wildscape Foundation,
the Tuttle Creek Country Stampede, and Gardner National Bank. Four cabins
were initially built at Tuttle Creek State Park, near Manhattan, and two
cabins were recently finished at Perry Reservoir. From April 1-Sept. 30, the Cross Timbers cabins rent for $85 per night on Friday and Saturday, and $65 per night Sunday through Thursday. From Oct.1-March 31, Friday and Saturday rates will be $75, and Sunday through Thursday rates will be $55. Weekly rates are also available. Phone 620-637-2213 for reservations and more information. For more information on Kansas Wildscape, phone Debbie Brandt at 785-843-9453.
