LDWF canceled the first three of these teal lottery hunts last week and was holding out for rain this past weekend hoping that would improve the water levels before making a decision on the remaining teal lottery hunts on the White Lake WCA. The substantial amount of rain needed did not come and these dry conditions make access to interior wetlands and hunting blinds impossible. Hunting blinds, as well as open water areas, are essential to hunting and attracting waterfowl.

This closure is relevant to White Lake WCA's 17,365-acre hunting impoundment. Lottery hunters will be notified by telephone and by letter of this action along with their $200 refund.
