Contact: Ginger Morgan Check out Leaf Cam, camping, other fall info on DNR Web site The Department of Natural Resources Web site has posted a new link dedicated to fall recreation in Indiana. To visit the fall site, click on www.dnr.IN.gov/fall A joint effort of the DNR and the Indiana Office of Tourism Development, the site includes a "Leaf Cam," which shoots still photos of various forested sites across the state. The photos refresh every 15 minutes, so viewers can see when leaves arrive at the peak of fall color. The site also features an interactive travel guide, which lists campgrounds, festivals, lodging and restaurants, and more. Visitors can choose a region or city and then enter a keyword to get a list of related links. The "trip ideas" section offers pictures and paragraphs on various Indiana attractions, and travel discounts and free getaways also are highlighted. Specific topics such as migrating sandhill cranes are highlighted on the site, along with interesting fall activities such as making patterned notepaper with crushed flower blooms. Interactive maps of Indiana with zoom capability will help Hoosiers navigate unfamiliar areas of the state.
