Reopening Set for Lake Tom Bailey

JACKSON- Tom Bailey State Fishing Lake will host a special youth opening on Sept. 17, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP).

Youth less than 16 years of age may fish if accompanied by an adult age 21 or older holding a valid Mississippi fishing license. Anglers can fish from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on this day only. No one over the age of 15 may fish during this special opening.

The creel limit is 50 fish, with no more than 5 largemouth bass. There is no length or slot limit.

Tom Bailey State Fishing Lake is located in Lauderdale County, approximately 8 miles east of Meridian off Mississippi Hwy. 11. The lake will open to the entire public on Oct. 20.
