Old Grand Glaise provides White River access
POSSUM GRAPE - Jackson County boaters have a new access point on the White River.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony recently recognized the Old Grand Glaise access on the river. Construction started on the project in November 2003 and finished in October 2004. The fencing, riprap and concrete boat ramp cost about $85,000. The project included a 20-foot-wide concrete boat ramp and a half-acre parking lot. Local support came from the Old Grand Glaise community in southern Jackson County.

Brayco Construction was the low bidder on the project. Jackson County paved the one-mile access road from Arkansas Highway 367.
