LITTLE
ROCK - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has waived state
recreational hunting and fishing license requirements for Hurricane
Katrina evacuees temporarily living in Arkansas.
With thousands of evacuees calling Arkansas their temporary home, the
AGFC waived the license requirements so hurricane victims may enjoy all
The Natural State has to offer.
AGFC Director Scott Henderson said, “Although hunting and fishing may be
the last thing on evacuees’ minds, we want them to have every
opportunity to take a break from their worries in Arkansas’ great
outdoors while they are here.”
