| The California Department of Fish and
Game’s (DFG) Advanced Hunter Education Program, in partnership with
Wilderness Unlimited, is hosting a waterfowl-hunting clinic in Williams
on Oct. 1. The clinic runs between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The cost is $40
and space is limited.
Lunch will be available for $5, or participants may bring their own.
DFG Assistant Chief Mike Carion, along with Warden Aaron Freitas,
will instruct the clinic. They will cover decoy placement, blind design,
ballistics, calling and duck identification. Information will also be
provided on canine considerations, gear and garb, game care and
cleaning, cooking tips and safety.
Kittles Sporting Goods of Colusa will be there to offer all of the
gear and garb needed during a hunt.
