Outdoorama Postponed

JACKSON- The annual outdoors event known as "Outdoorama", scheduled to be held on Sept. 24 at the Turcotte Hunter Education Facility in Canton, is postponed until further notice according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP).

"Because of our involvement in the hurricane relief efforts in south Mississippi, we have had to postpone a number of events," Assistant Chief of Enforcement Steve Adcock said.

According to MDWFP officials, the agency is shorthanded at many of its inland facilities while personnel from across the state are redeployed to the Gulf Coast for relief efforts.
