Contact: Maria Abel-Crecelius “Turkey Talk” at Patoka set for Sept. 18 Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Jeff Milner will talk turkey on Saturday, September 18 at 2 p.m. EST ("slow time") at the Patoka Lake Visitor Center in Wickliffe. "With an autumn turkey-hunting season approaching, seasoned hunters -- as well as outdoor enthusiasts -- want to know how turkeys behave in the fall of the year," said Maria Abel-Crecelius, interpretive naturalist at Patoka. "For instance, how do you call a turkey? Join us for a fascinating look at one of Patoka’s wild game birds." This program is free with the $4 per vehicle ($5 out of state) gate fee.
