September 06, 2005

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has announced that the Pike County Public Fishing Lake will re-open Wednesday, September 7th. It will be open from daylight until dark, Wednesday through Sunday, and closed on Monday and Tuesday.

The lake, which was closed July, 11, 2005 due to the resignation of the Lake Manager, will now be under the operation of Ted Youngblood. It has a covered fishing pier, a boat ramp, and abundant bank fishing. Bait, fishing tackle, and snacks may be purchased at the lake. In addition to a valid fishing license, a daily $2.50 fishing permit will be required.
