Fall outdoors workshop planned for women at Eagle Bluff (2005-08-30)
The Becoming an Outdoor Women (BOW) program is hosting its annual fall
workshop Sept. 16-18 at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in
Lanesboro.
Classes offered include fly-fishing, mock bow hunting, archery, shooting
sports, birding, canoeing, kayaking, biking and a ropes course. Women sign
up for four classes during the weekend. Lodging, meals, instruction,
equipment and evening entertainment are all included for a low workshop fee.
"The fall workshop is very popular among women and provides women a unique
opportunity to try out different sports in a supportive atmosphere," said

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resource (DNR) BOW program is entering
its 11th year of programming. The mission of BOW is to teach women outdoor
skills in the areas of hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation. For 2005,
BOW is offering 38 half-day and weekend classes. Woman can access the events
